We recommend deep cleaning 2-4 times per year. In addition to routine spring cleaning and holiday cleaning, SmartWash™ is great for cleaning high-traffic areas, stairs, upholstery and those inevitable spots and spills.
Yes! Your SmartWash™ comes with an 8-foot hose and various tools to clean stains and spills on upholstered furniture. Always check manufacturer’s label before cleaning for any specific instructions. Before you clean, test a small hidden area of carpet for color fastness. If color changes, do not use.
It’s easy to rinse your carpets with the SmartWash™! Simply remove the solution tank from the unit, fill the Clean Water Tank, then push forward to rinse, pull back to dry. We recommend rinsing your carpets after cleaning to remove any solution residue.
The great thing about the SmartWash™ is there is NO measuring to do! Simply fill the Solution Tank with HOOVER® cleaning solution and the SmartWash™ takes care of all the mixing and measuring, it’s that easy!
The HOOVER® SmartWash™ includes the 2-in-1 Antimicrobial Tool - great for pet messes and prevents bacteria, mold and mildew build up on the tool.
We designed the HOOVER® SmartWash™ specifically for deep carpet cleaning. We do not recommend using SmartWash™ on bare floor surfaces.
SmartWash™ has a one-step removable nozzle that makes it easy to remove and clean the brushes. No screwdrivers needed.
The HOOVER® SmartWash™ Carpet Cleaner comes with a 5 year warranty.
Turn off your SmartWash and empty the Dirty Water Tank. Make sure that the Nozzle Cover is attached properly and in the locked position, then check that the Dirty Water Tank is attached properly. Lastly, clear the Debris Filter and rinse it.
There is an Auto-Trigger Float in the Dirty Water Tank that triggers when the tank is full. This causes a high-pitched noise, alerting you that it is time to empty the Dirty Water Tank.
You can perform a rinse cycle to remove any leftover solution from your carpet by removing the solution tank from SmartWash and using your carpet washer as normal. By removing your solution tank, your SmartWash will no longer auto-mix solution and you can rinse your carpets with just water.
Activate the Dry Only Mode feature, located near the top of the water or solution tank, and use SmartWash as normal to remove any remaining water or solution.
SmartWash™ is triggerless and automatically puts down water and solution when not in Dry Only Mode. To apply water or solution, simply push forward with your SmartWash and pull it back to dry.
