Do I have to vacuum before I use it?

Yes, we recommend vacuuming before using any carpet cleaner. This allows your cleaner to perform better and last longer. If you are in search of a vacuum, we would like to recommend the HOOVER® High Performance Swivel. It is perfect for deep cleaning and homes with pets. It allows for seemingly effortless cleaning with the combination of powerful suction and convenient swivel steering, perfect for a pre-wash clean!

Will it work on my tile floor?

We do not recommend using this on hard floors. The HOOVER® PowerDash™ was designed for carpet cleaning only. It can powerfully vacuum AND wash your hard floors at the same time, simplifying your cleaning routine and removing the hassle of a cord. Plus, the microfiber brush roll gently washes & scrubs to loosen debris and helps dry your floors faster than conventional cleaning methods..

Can this machine also be used as a vacuum cleaner?

Recurring clogs could be the result of a large amount of dirt and debris intake by your PowerDash. Although it is designed to deep clean carpets, PowerDash is not a replacement for your traditional carpet cleaner and is not designed for full room dirt and debris pick up. We recommend vacuuming before using your PowerDash for the best possible results.
